Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy Technician is a rigorous and comprehensive four-week or six-week program designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills required to provide basic care to patients in need of venipuncture and blood draw. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be trained to provide aid and essential services in many venues of the health care system, including doctor’s offices, clinics, and other facilities that provide health care on an outpatient basis.
Through classroom instruction and instructor-guided course and labs, graduates of this program will be able to communicate with patients, assist medical personnel with procedures in a professional and efficient manner. Discussion with the students include researching job leads and applying strategies and personal qualities to keep a job and advance in a career. We offer all students assistance in writing a resume and interview skills. While we do not do job placement, we do assist by keeping a current list of jobs posted on our job board located in the school.
