Medical Assisting

Medical Assisting

Medical Assisting is a rigorous and comprehensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills required to provide basic care to patients in medical and ambulatory care facilities. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be trained to provide aid and essential services in many venues of the health care system, including doctor’s offices, clinics, and other facilities which provide health care on an outpatient basis.

Through classroom instruction and instructor-guided course and labs, graduates of this program will be able to communicate with patients, assist medical personnel with procedures, perform administrative and clinical duties, provide essential medical assistance in a professional and efficient manner, learn how to prepare a resume, interview for job opportunities and applying strategies and personal qualities to keep a job and advance in a career. While we do not do job placement, we do assist by keeping a current list of jobs posted on our job board located in the school.
