Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy Technician is a rigorous and comprehensive four-week program designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills required to provide basic care to patients in need of venipuncture and blood draw. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be trained to provide aid and essential services in many venues of the health care system, including doctor’s offices, clinics, and other facilities that provide health care on an outpatient basis.

Through virtual, home study and classroom instruction, plus our instructor-guided practice and skills check off, graduates of this program will be able to communicate with patients, assist medical personnel with procedures in a professional and efficient manner. Discussion with the students include researching job leads and applying strategies and personal qualities to keep a job and advance in a career. We offer all students assistance in writing a resume and interview skills. While we do not do job placement, we do assist by keeping a current list of jobs posted on our job board located in the school.

Areas of study include:

1. Module : Universal precautions
2. Module : Anatomy and physiology of the vascular system
3. Module : Necessary equipment and usage
4. Module : Order of draw
5. Module : Hands-on labs to practice and check off, doing mock venipunctures

Phlebotomy Admissions

Applicants must be interviewed by an admissions representative.
Applicants must provide proof of high school graduation or achievement of a General Educational Development (GED) High School Equivalency Certificate or provide the information during the enrollment process if hard copy is unable to be retrieved.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older or additionally have a guardian’s signature/initials on all paperwork which requires a signature/initials.
The School Director or his/her designee must agree to final acceptance of each applicant.
The applicant’s general appearance and conduct must be consistent with, and conducive to, general good business standards.

Phlebotomy Tuition

The cost of the program is $1695. This includes books, supplies, tuition and all in-house fees. On the day the student registers, they can either pay in full or start with a minimum down payment of $695 and follow a payment plan for the remainder of the course.
